Program Philosophy

Since 1987 Camp Brébeuf has been running a popular and successful Outdoor Education program during the Fall, Winter and Spring months (September – June). We offer a variety of options including 1 day, 2 day or 3 day overnight experiences.  Our Outdoor Education programs are designed from an adventure based, experiential learning style to compliment the students’ classroom studies.

Our Outdoor education philosophy is routed in the ideologies of respect, discovery, and experience. More specifically, we encourage every camper to:

  • Continually create an environment of positive peer support.
  • To develop an attitude of care and respect for our natural environment and for other’s talents and abilities.
  • To constantly work towards developing one’s own potential and ability.

Through Adventure Based Learning students understand valuable skills such as the importance of effective communication and listening skills, and the ability to work together and cooperate with one another to accomplish a common goal.

Personal Student Goals
Every camper is provided with the opportunity to set goals and challenge themselves to grow as an individual and part of the group. As a camp we love to see campers have new experiences whether it be exploring in nature, overcoming a fear at our challenge course or getting to know their classmates better. Every visit to Brébeuf is unique to the school and our staff work hard through our programming to create these memorable experiences.
