It was in 1963, under the direction of our first Executive Director, Father Kyran Kennedy, that the C.Y.O. had a mission and vision to serve inner-city children with the creation of a summer day camp program – Camp Marydale.
Over the past 50 years, that mission has evolved to serve the changing needs of our community. From subsidized camp registration fees and no-charge bus transportation, to accessible programs and services for children with special needs.
Camp Marydale has been a leader in breaking down barriers, whether they are physical, behavioural, or financial, because the C.Y.O. believes that every child deserves to play.
In 2013, the C.Y.O. celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Camp Marydale.
