C.Y.O. Children’s Fundraiser
In February 1986, at the Chandelier Banquet Hall in Stoney Creek, the Catholic Youth
Organization (C.Y.O.) launched their largest and longest running community fundraising event called the C.Y.O. Celebrity Dinner.
Today, this annual gala fundraiser raises the funds needed each year to administer the our ‘One-to-One’ respite care camp program for children with special needs. The ‘One-to-One’ program enables these children with developmental and cognitive challenges to participate in the C.Y.O.’s summer day and overnight camping programs offered at Camp Marydale and Camp Brébeuf.
We have help nearly 13,000 Children
The C.Y.O. was one of the first agencies in Ontario to integrate children with special needs, ages 6 to 13 into our mainstream camping programs. Since ’72, nearly 13,000 children and their families from Hamilton and surrounding communities have taken advantage of this unique and affordable community respite care program.
Funds raised through our annual C.Y.O. Children’s Fundraiser help to offset the added expense of offering our ‘One-to-One’ service to families hoping to send their child to camp each summer.
How you can help!
Giving children with special needs the opportunity to go to camp is as easy as 1,2,3:
1) Purchasing Dinner Tickets -$125.00/ea or tables of 10
2) Advertise in our Dinner Program - $100.00 to $1,000
3) Becoming a Dinner Sponsor - Sponsorships opportunities range from $1,000 to $20,000
