Leadership Program – Camp Brébeuf

Camp Brébeuf offers a Leadership Camp Program designed for young students entering grades 9, 10 and 11 in September of each year.

C.Y.O. Counsellor-in-Training Programs - C.I.T.’s

The C.Y.O. offers two separate C.I.T. Programs, they are:

1) C.I.T. Program at Camp Marydale:

JUNIOR C.I.T. PROGRAM

July 8th to August 16th - Registration opens January 1st, 2024

If your child is currently in Grade 8 (2023/2024 school year), they are eligible for our JUNIOR C.I.T. Program. This program is offered in a 6 week block. During the program, C.I.T.'s will develop leadership skills, team building & group bonding, review camp policies & procedures, all while participating in our camp activities (archery, boating, swimming, etc.). They will participate in debrief sessions, reflections and evaluations from the C.I.T. Program Coordinator throughout the entire 6 week block.

SENIOR C.I.T. PROGRAM

CIT dates : July 8th to August 16th- Registration opens January 1st, 2024

If your child is currently in Grade 9 (2023/2024 school year), they are eligible for our SENIOR C.I.T. Program. This program is offered for the entire duration of summer - July & August. During the first week of the program, they will develop leadership skills, team building & bonding, review camp policies & procedures, all while participating in our camp activities. During the remaining weeks, they will be paired with a counsellor team and a group of children aged 4 - 6 years old. They will assist with supervision, participate in activities with the campers and enhance their leadership skills. 

Senior C.I.T.'s will participate in debrief sessions, reflections and evaluations from the C.I.T. Program Coordinator throughout the entire program.

2) C.I.T. Program at Camp Brébeuf:

The C.I.T. program at our Camp Brébeuf is a 3 week, residential camping program, held in Rockwood, Ontario. Applicants can be male or female, who turned 16 before December of that same year. The program is designed for those who wish to develop the skills and confidence to become a registered summer camp counsellor for the Catholic Youth Organization.
