2017 C.Y.O. Honourary Campers
Children are at the heart of our mission
Each year during our annual Children’s Fundraiser, we recognize our C.Y.O. campers with special needs for their individual efforts and award them the title of Honourary Camper. These young people represent all of the children in our community with special needs who need our support. This year we are pleased to have Molly and her sister Claire as our 2017 Honourary Campers.
Molly, pictured here with her sister Claire requires the use of a wheelchair. Claire has Type 1 Diabetes which is a huge life factor in her daily life. Molly did not want to be our Honourary Camper unless she could include her sister Claire. Although Molly has no trouble getting around in her wheelchair, she felt that Claire’s condition was much more important and needs more attention than hers.
Thank you from Honourary Camper parents Christina & Brent Marcotte
My name is Christina and on behalf of my family I would like to thank everyone who supports the C.Y.O. and their ‘One-to-One’ program. We have two daughters, Molly, who has Spina Bifida and requires the use a wheel chair and her older sister Claire who has Type 1 Diabetes. Both were able to go to camp this past summer because of the generosity of those who support the C.Y.O.’s annual Children’s Fundraiser dinner. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving Molly, Claire and others like them the opportunity to play. Christina Marcotte
Please give children, such as Molly and Claire the chance to go to summer camp by supporting the C.Y.O.’s Annual Children’s Fundraiser.
The C.Y.O.’s Annual Children’s Fundraiser raises the funds needed each year to make it possible for families and their children to enjoy all the fun and joy of going to camp along with their able-bodied friends.
