C.Y.O. FALL CROSS COUNTRY 2020
PROTOCOLS & PROCEDURES
C.Y.O. has the opportunity to offer a modified fall cross country program for students in grades 3-8.
C.Y.O. will continue to implement Health & Safety Policies and Return to Play Rules. With all of these changes in place, we are delighted to offer programs and help to bring some fun and normality back into the lives of the children.
The following guidelines will help reduce the risk of respiratory infections while at Marydale Park:
Individuals must self-screen themselves prior to coming to Marydale Park.
COVID SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE:
1. Did the person have close contact with anyone with acute respiratory illness or travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
2. Does the person have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 without wearing appropriate PPE?
3. Does the person have any of the following symptoms:
• Fever • New onset of cough • Worsening chronic cough • Shortness of breath • Difficulty breathing • Sore throat • Difficulty swallowing • Decrease or loss of sense of taste or smell
• Chills • Headaches • Unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches (myalgia)
• Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea • Runny nose/nasal congestion without other known cause.
If response to screening questions 1. and 2. is YES or two or more in question 3. is YES, please do not come to Marydale Park, and suggested to contact your Health provider.
If response to all the screening questions is NO, we look forward to seeing you upon your race.
Anyone who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or has been in close contact with a confirmed case cannot access Marydale Park.
Upon arrival, you will be asked COVID-19 related questions and a record of all visitors, staff and volunteers will be kept.
WHILE AT MARYDALE PARK
-Participants are asked not to touch other participants. This includes no high fives, fist bumps or handshaking.
-Participants are asked to leave the property immediately following their race, to allow us to remain within the guidelines of Ontario Regulations 364/20.
-Fountains and water fill stations are closed. Participants are asked to bring their own pre-filled water bottles.
-Change rooms/shower will remain closed.
-Washroom facilities will be available.
-Mandatory for participants, spectators, volunteers and staff to wear a mask.
-During the race, participants do not need to wear mask. Following the race, the mask will be worn immediately.
-Social/physical distance while on property is enforced, seating (picnic tables) will be available for spectators, and property will have markings for visitors to follow.
Participants are only allowed to have two spectators at Marydale Park during the event.
Spectators may be asked to remain in vehicle until closer to race time, to allow us to remain within the guidelines of Ontario Regulations 364/20. Check in times found below.
Participants are asked to sign in and will be directed to their cohort area in preparation of their race. There will be four races each day. Please be on time and prepared to run at your scheduled time.
Participants will be marshalled to the following areas once checked in:

October 22, 23, 26 JUNIIORS – Grade 5 & 6 (1900 metres)

There will be a charge of $5 for parking. This will include driver, and other passengers.
