Guelph Community Foundation funds will improve trail accessibility at Camp Brébeuf

The Catholic Youth Organization is pleased to announce the support of the Guelph Community Foundation to assist in the improvement and expansion of the accessible boardwalk nature trail at Camp Brébeuf in Rockwood.

Camp Brébeuf provides fun and healthy outdoor education for children and youth through its day camp and overnight camping programs. In the summer of this year, 245 campers attended the overnight camps and 465 children and youth participated in five weeks of day camp. 1300 young people participated in yearly retreat programs at the camp property.

As part of its commitment to providing fully accessible facilities to people with disabilities, Camp Brébeuf staff and volunteers will work together to make improvements to the boardwalk section of the nature trail along the Eramosa River. This will ensure full accessibility and full enjoyment of the beautiful natural environment along the Eramosa River waterfront and all the learning opportunities that come along with it!

In 2022 thirty campers with disabilities attended Camp Brébeuf.

This project is to be funded in part by a grant from The Guelph Community Foundation.
